Treasure What You've Got, It Won't Last Forever

Life always seems to throw the most unlikely situations into your life when you'd least expect it to. My eyes have been openned to this world for 16 years and just now im beginning to realize how small i am compared to all humanity. We want to imagine we're invincible because we're kids. We've lived our lives sheltered by rules and protective parenting that keep us out of harms way. We ARE invincible. But, in the end, not even we can escape fate. It creeps into our lives and in one final breath, sweeps us away entirely. All thats left is a memory and a tombstone, both that will fall victim to the plague of passing time.

How can someone be gone in the blink of an eye? Someone you've known for as long as you can remember is someone you'll never see again. To never hear them laugh, or to see them smile? There's truely nothing left. An empty carcass of what used to be the framework of dreams and opportunity now lies six feet under the earth we continue to thrive on. Does life really end? Do you shut your eyes one final time and everything is gone? How can we just forget an entire life we spent years trying to make worthwhile? Why would we be put here to cherish life when in the end we don't know if we'll even remember it?
